A Roleplaying Rabbit post.
You spend an hour on your reply: five careful paragraphs, a flashback and a thunderstorm. Your partner answers with one line. "He nods." Your novel has been on page six for six months. In the last fortnight you've written 120 pages of a pirate's tragic backstory with a stranger three time zones away. In a meeting you call your manager by your elf's name. Twice. You ask a follow-up question in the same voice, hoping nobody noticed. Everybody noticed. Your writing partner has been online for three hours and hasn't replied. Their other story, with someone else, got two posts today. You're fine. You're writing a very sad scene, entirely unrelated. **Why it caught on:** a Dutch-patterned rabbit on black-and-white rays, from a photo nobody has traced, became the advice animal for people who write stories together online. A hobby with no meme got one, made by people who know the ache of waiting for a reply.
